I've always wanted to do a grunge wallpaper, I know there's a lot out there but after playing with some of the great brushes here on DA http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&q=grunge#catpath=resources&order=9&q=grunge I finally came up with something I would actually use myself so I thought I'd release it. It may be "just another grunge" wallpaper but this uses a lot of detail, it's done in Ai and finished in Ps using almost 50 layers and about 12 different brushes plus extensive application of Nik Software Color Efex and Alien Skin Nature filters. The font is Adobe Garamond Pro. Inspiration comes from both the great Louie Mantia's Battlestar Galactica grungy wallpaper http://mantia.me/desktops/battlestar-galactica/ and the historic Grunge release by =Alexander-GG http://alexander-gg.deviantart.com/art/Grunge-113965957 There are several different versions in this release, some with dock and menubar shadows built-in, some with different text-art, and some undecorated all in both 2560 x 1600 and 1920 x 1080 widescreen sizes. But like Bokeh, Fractal, Gradient and Aurora, the more than 300 grunge wallpapers here on DA "just aren't original".
